    Fool Proof Pie Crust

    Ingredients

    • 4 cups flour
    • 1 Tbs suger
    • 2 tsps salt
    • 1 3/4 cup shortening
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1 Tbs vinegar
    • 1 large egg

    Instructions

    Mix flour, suger, and salt. Cut in shortening until it looks like crumbs. Mix water, vinegar and egg. Add to flour mixture. Divide into 5 portions. Pat each one into about 6 inch circles. Chill for one hour. Can be frozen or may be kept in fridge for 3 days. Apple Pie Filling 6 cups apples sliced thin 3/4 cup sugar 2 Tbs tapioca 1 tsp cinnamon pinch of nutmeg drop of almond extract
