Fresh Fruit Cobbler
This fresh fruit cobbler is one of the best cobbler recipes because you can choose which fruit you want to put in it. Blueberries, peaches, strawberries, pineapple, you get to pick whichever fruit floats your boat.
Notes
Variation:
Peach or Apricot cobbler: use 1 cup sugar.
Blackberry or Boysenberry cobbler: use 3/4 cup sugar.

Ingredients
- 2/3 to 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup boiling water
- 3 cups fruit with juice
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Mix together in saucepan sugar and cornstarch.
- Stir in gradually the boiling water; bring to boil and boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly, then add fruit and juice.
- Pour into 10x6x2" baking dish; dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Drop spoonfuls of shortcake dough onto fruit.
- Bake and serve warm with ice cream.
For shortcake dough:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or less)
- 3 tablespoons shortening
- 1/2 cup milk
Directions:
- Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Finely cut in shortening with pastry blender or fingers.
- Stir in milk to make soft dough.

This sounds easy enough but there is no temperature or amount of time to cook it for. I assume it would be around 375-400 degrees for maybe 20-25 minutes. Also there is no instructions as to what to do with the dough for someone who is new to cooking. Thanks
