    Mango Cobbler

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup butter or margarine melted
    • 3/4 cup flour
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • dash salt
    • 1 egg
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 3/4 cup milk
    • 2 cups firm but ripe sliced mango
    • 1/2 cup white sugar
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar

    Instructions

    Place melted butter in a 8 or 9 inch square baking pan. Make a batter from the flour, baking powder, salt, egg, sugar and milk and pour over melted butter. DO NOT STIR. Mix the mangoes with the 2 sugars and place evenly over the batter. Bake in a 350F oven 45 to 60 minutes or until golden and tested done. Serves 6
