"This homemade peach pie recipe holds a lot of memories for me. My mom used to make this when I was a little girl. I remember her standing in the kitchen with the cookbook open, mixing the dough, slicing the peaches, and smiling at me as I sat patiently at the table. I love pie. Fresh fruit pies, like this blueberry pie, are among my favorites. But no other conjures up sweet memories for me like this deep dish peach pie from my mom’s arsenal."

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 10 cup sliced peaches
- 3 teaspoon butter
- 3 cup flour
- 11 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter flavored shortening
- 7 tablespoon cold water

In a medium bowl with a fork, stir together flour and salt.

Use a pastry blender (or two knifes scissor stylto cut in the shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
