Sauerkraut Surprise Custard Pie
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup drained, coarsely chopped sauerkraut
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pastry shell
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). In a large bowl, combine milk, sauerkraut, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 35 minutes, or until a knife inserted into filling 1 inch from the edge comes out clean.
