    Sour Cream Pear Pie

    Ingredients

    • 1 (9-inch) (23-cm) pie shell, unbaked
    • 5 or 6 pears, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
    • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 2/3 cup (4-1/2 oz) sugar
    • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
    • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

    Instructions

    Preheat oven to 425deg. F. (220deg. C.) In pie shell, arrange pears in concentric circles with stem end toward center. Combime flour, 2/3 cup sugar, ginger, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, and sour cream. Mix well and pour over pears. Combine 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and spread over pie. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
