Homemade Cauliflower Pizza Crust
If you're ready to be more adventurous in the kitchen while adding some more veggies to your plate, this Homemade Cauliflower Pizza Crust is just the recipe for you. You'll love how easy it is to make and how cheesy it tastes! The extra cheesy flavor comes from the addition of Parmesan and Mozzarella cheeses to the finely chopped cauliflower, which adds even more great flavor to the pizza overall. While it's got a slightly different consistency than your traditional breaded pizza crust, this veggie version is still quite tasty and offers a way to make your meal gluten free with a whole helping of extra veggies. It's a win-win!

Cooking Time - Textor until golden brown
Cooking Vessel Size9 x 13-inch baking sheet
Ingredients
- 1 medium cauliflower head
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup Mozzarella cheese
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 500 degrees F, then place your head of cauliflower in a food processor and set to pulse until it has achieved a rice-like consistency. (You'll likely need to chop your cauliflower head up into pieces so that it all fits in the food processor).
-
Microwave the cauliflower mixture in a microwave-safe bowl for 5 minutes. When done, transfer contents into a clean dish towel and squeeze all the liquid you can back into the empty bowl.
-
Add one beaten egg to the mixture.
-
Add Parmesan and Mozzarella cheeses to the mixture.
-
Add in salt, garlic powder, dried basil and Italian seasoning.
-
Mix and mash everything up with a fork until completely combined.
-
Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment or wax paper, and spread the cauliflower mixture out onto the pan. Shape the crust however you like. We recommend a rectangle shape, but you could also choose to shape it in a circle.
-
Bake at 500 degrees F for 10 - 15 minutes, or until the dough turns golden brown.
-
When it's done baking, spread tomato sauce on top and cover it with Mozzarella cheese. Bake for another 3- 5 minutes to melt cheese.
