Pizza with Garlic and Parsley
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup finely chopped garlic
- 1 cup coarsely chopped flat parsley
- 1 Tbsp. or less kosher salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- coarsely cracked pepper
- dough for crust (below)
Instructions
Roll crust out onto 13x9 inch jelly roll pan (Shell inserts here that she uses two regular cookie sheets). Sprinkle with a mixture of garlic and parsley, top with salt and olive oil. Let double in bulk. Bake in preheated 425 F. oven until parsley is well browned, about 20 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle generously with cracked pepper and serve. Simple Pizza Dough (Sicilian crust) 3 cups flour 1 envelope yeast 1 1/2 to 2 cups warm water 2 Tbsp. olive oil 1 1/2 tsp. salt Make a well in the flour, add in yeast and water. Mix yeast and water well and let stand until yeast dissolves and starts to bubble. Add olive oil and salt. Gradually bring in flour and work into a smooth bread dough. Knead 10 minutes, then place dough in lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let double. Punch down and let dough rest 10 minutes.
