Bread Soup (zupa Chlebowa)

Ingredients

  • 6 cup strong beef bouillon
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 6 slices rye bread and butter to spread on them
  • kielbasa in the amount that would equal two frankfurters, diced
  • 6 poached eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Thicken the beef bouillon with paste made of dry browned flour and butter stirred smooth with a little of the broth. Let simmer. Butter the bread slices and toast in oven or under broiler. Dice sausage and add to soup. Pour into individual dishes and top each with a piece of toast on which has been put a poached egg. serves 6
