Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, boiled and peeled
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 3 cups raw long grain rice
  • 1 green pepper diced
  • 4 stalks celery diced
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic diced
  • 1 large tin tomatoe juice
  • 2 tins tomatoe soup
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

In a large bowl, mix meat, rice, vegetables, salt and pepper. Boil and peal the layers of one large cabbage slice along the vein to remove hard peices. Roll each leaf with one third cup filling. Stack into large stock pot. Cover with mixed juice and soup add parsley. Simmer on top of stove for at least 3 hours but the longer the better.
