Baked Ham

Ingredients

  • 12 lb. ham
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. vinegar
  • cloves
  • dry mustard
  • 1 can sliced pineapple
  • brown sugar
  • cherries

Instructions

Wash and brush the ham. Soak overnight. Pour off water and cover with water that has had 2 c. sugar and 3/4 c. vinegar added to it. Simmer gently until well done. (Approx. 25 mins. /lb. counting time after water begins to simmer.) Do not boil. Let ham cool in its own liquid. When cool, skin ham and rub with brown sugar and dry mustard. Add cloves for flavor. Put into hot oven to brown. When browned as desired, place sliced pineapple around ham and add cherry to center of each slice.
