Oven Barbecued Ribs
Ingredients
- 3 lbs. spareribs, cut in sections between ribs
- 2 cup catsup
- 1 cup chili sauce
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp pickapeppa sauce
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Place all ingredients except ribs in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer sauce for 30 minutes until it thickens. Place ribs in a large shallow pan and pour sauce over all. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1-1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Uncover, cool enough to skim fat from sauce, and return, uncovered, to oven. Increase heat to 450 degrees and continue baking until ribs are browned and sauce reduced, but don't allow to dry out completely.
