"Pork chops are classic comfort food and every cuisine has its own version of different pork chop recipes that are really delish. This Asian-inspired dish takes advantage of how Asians would like their pork chops to be cooked– with a bit of sweetness. You can omit the cayenne pepper and change it to a more subtle flavor like star anise if you prefer a mild version of this dish. This dish perfectly pairs well with many cold drinks such as fruit juices and shakes."

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 pound boneless pork chops
  • 1 cup beef stock

Instructions

  1. Cut the pork chops into bite-sized pieces and render the fat in a hot pan.

  2. Sauté the meat until browned.

  3. Add in the garlic and sauté for 1 minute

  4. Add the brown sugar, honey, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and beef stock.

  5. Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer for about 15 minutes.

  6. Top with crispy garlic and some spring onions.
