Corned Beef Brisket
Ingredients
- 5 - 6 lb. beef brisket
- 1/4 t. saltpeter
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 T. mixed pickling spices
- 3/4 cup salt
- 2 T. sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 t. paprika
- 2 quart water
Instructions
Dissolve saltpeter in warm water Combine remaining ingredients except beef in a non- metalic container until salt dissolves Add beef refrigerate for 4 to 5 weeks. Cook as for any corned beef.
