24 Hour Dills
In a full day, you can make delicious dill pickles from scratch. Homemade pickles are the tastiest pickles, and this recipe shows you how to make pickles right at home.
Ingredients
- 6 cup water
- 2 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup salt
- 6 stalks fresh dill weed
- 6 cloves peeled garlic
- 2 3/4 pound cucumbers, with ends trimmed
Instructions
- Boil water, vinegar and salt. Place in large crock or jar.
- Layer dill, garlic and cucumbers.
- Pour boiling syrup over all and let stand for 24 hours then refrigerate.
