Caramel Apple Butter
Ingredients
- I love this one. You have to use a good green apple. Red apples
- just don't have the right flavor.
Instructions
Prep apples using just about any apple butter recipe. You will probably want to put in some white sugar to sweeten. Do not use brown sugar as the taste competes with the caramel. Once you have the apples cooked down and thick enough put in 2 caramels for every apple you used. I just buy a 1 or 2 lb package of generic caramels at the corner store. Adjust the amount of caramel according to taste and can. BWB for 15 minutes.
