    Crisp Pickles

    Ingredients

    • To each quart jar add:
    • 3 teaspoons pickling salt
    • 2 tsps.mustard seed
    • 3 peeled cloves garlic
    • 1/4 tsp alum
    • Halved or quartered cukes to fill jar
    • stalk of fresh dill on top

    Instructions

    Boil 3 parts of water and 1 part of apple cider vinegar and pour into jar to 1/2" of top. Seal immediately. Shake well to disolve powders. I use a vacuum lid seal attachment to my vacuum sealer to increase the vacuum potential for a good seal. Ready to eat in 3-4 weeks.
