    Hot Pepper Jelly

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups hot peppers
    • 2 cups green peppers
    • 2 cups water
    • 1 1/2 cup vinegar
    • 1 package SureJell powdered pectin
    • 4 cups sugar
    • Green food coloring

    Instructions

    Clean and dice peppers. Bring to a full boil and boil 15 minutes. Strain and cool. Mix vinegar and 1-1/2 cups pepper liquid (add water, if necessary, to make the 1-1/2 cups pepper juice). Add a drop or two of green food coloring. Mix in SureJell and boil for 1 minute. Add sugar and boil for 1 more minute. Remove from heat, skim foam. Pour into hot sterilized half-pint jars and seal. Process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
