Kiwifruit Chutney
Ingredients
- 1 kilogram kiwifruit
- 2 bananas
- 3 onions
- zest of 1 lemon
- juice of 3 lemons
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 3 tablespoons crystallised ginger
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup white vinegar
Instructions
Peel and slice the kiwifruit, chop the onions and bananas. Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and boil gently for about 1 hour until soft and thick. Stir frequently, cool, spoon into sterilised jars and seal.
