    Mountain Ash Liqueur

    Ingredients

    • 2 c mountain ash fruit
    • 2 whole cloves
    • 1/2 inch piece cinnamon stick
    • 1 lemon, zest only
    • 1 c sugar
    • 2 c vodka

    Instructions

    Place all the ingredients in a tightly sealed jar and leave for 6 months. Expose jar to sunlight for the first week, shaking frequently. Then set aside in a cool dark place for the remaining time. Then strain through a cloth into another glass jar and store in a cool dark place for 4 more months.
