Old Fashioned Pickled Okra

Ingredients

  • 3 cup white vinegar
  • 5 cup water
  • 1/3 cup salt
  • 5 quarts okra
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic per jar
  • 1 chopped jalapeno pepper per jar
  • 1 teaspoon dill seed per jar

Instructions

Combine vinegar, water and salt. Bring to boil. Fill 4 hot jars with okra and add 2 cloves fresh garlic, 1 jalapeno pepper cut up (more if you like it hot) and 1 teaspoon of dill seed. Fill jars with mixture. Put on canning lids and set in BWB for 10 minutes. Remove jars from water and set aside to cool.
