Quick and easy Fig Preserves
Ingredients
- 3 cups figs, cut up
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 box strawberry or blackberry gelatin
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in large saucepan and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Pour into jelly glasses.

what is the purpose of the lemon juice in the fig preseves. i love this recipe and i have used other fruits in it
