Spiced Apple Butter
Ingredients
- 6 apples, sliced
- 1 cup apple cider
- 2 tsps ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
Instructions
Yield: 4 Cups. Place apples and cider in pot over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until mixture comes to a boil. Lower heat and simmer, stirring frequently, for about 1/2 hour. Stir in spices. Continue simmering and stirring for another 1/2 hour, or until apple slices have disintegrated and butter is thick. Remove from heat. Transfer to 4 1-cup containers, and store in fridge.
