    Cream of Vegetable Soup

    Ingredients

    • 2 medium potatoes
    • 2 medium carrots
    • 2 medium onions
    • 10 ounces beans
    • 1 piece (100 gms. approx) cabbage
    • 1/2 cup shelled green peas
    • 3 stalks celery
    • 2 tsps butter
    • 1 1/2 litres water
    • 250 milliliters milk
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • grated cheese to garnish

    Instructions

    Cut all the vegetables (except peas) in to small cubes. Melt butter in the pressure cooker. Add all the cut vegetables and peas. Add water and pressure cook for 10 minutes. Allow the cooker to cool for 10 minutes. Then open the lid. Strain out 1 cup of strained vegetables and blend in a mixer. Return it to the soup in the pressure cooker. Add milk,saltand pepper. Place the cooker on fire and give one boil to the soup. Serve hot sprinkled with grated cheese.
