Ingredients
- 1 cup Quaker oats
- 1/3 cup raisins (optional)
- 2 1/4 cups water
- Apples (optional)
- Cinnamon (optional)
- Nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Spray slow cooker with non-stick spray.
- Combine oats, water and other ingredients if desired.
- Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

I can't tell what kind of oats to use in this recipe--quick cooking or old-fashioned. I would think it would have to be old-fashioned oats, but the recipe doesn't specify. Wouldn't this be better with milk or cream, or at least half and half? I guess you would have to put this in your slow cooker at night before bed if you want it for breakfast. I have never let my slow cooker cook overnight.
