Beer Cheese Quick Bread
What could be better than a bread made with beer and cheese? This quick bread recipe is simple and delicious. It's a great bread to serve with dips and spreads during football season.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon fine dry bread crumbs
- 3 cup self-rising flour
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 ounce beer
- 2 tablespoon butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x5 loaf pan and sprinkle it generously with the dry bread crumbs. Shake out any excess bread crumbs.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar and cheese. Stir to mix. Add the beer and mix well. Pour the stiff batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 45 minutes. Brush with the melted butter. Bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, until golden. Serve warm, with butter.
