Ingredients

  • Bread Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon rind, grated
  • 1 to 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Glaze Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, lemon juice and rind.
     
  3. Combine dry ingredients. Stir into creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
     
  4. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes.
     
  5. Mix glaxze ingredients. Remove from pan and drizzle with glaze immediately.
