    Mushrooms, Rice and Peas

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound fresh mushrooms, cleaned and halved
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 cup brown shortgrain rice
    • 2 cups water
    • 1 cup frozen peas
    • Salt to taste

    Instructions

    Boil the mushrooms in one cup water until done, drain. Bring the 2 cups water to a boil, add rice, cover, reduce heat to med-low or low and cook for 45 minutes. Add the frozen peas and mushrooms to the rice and cook until they are hot. Salt to taste.
