    Bean Salad

    Ingredients

    • 16-ounce can diagonal-cut green beans
    • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
    • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
    • 8-ounce can diagonal-cut wax beans, drained
    • 1 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
    • 1 tablespoon chopped green bell pepper
    • 1 tablespoon chopped red bell pepper

    Instructions

    Drain the green beans and place liquid in a saucepan. Add the vinegar, sugar, celery seeds, and mustard to the pan. Bring to a boil. Put the green beans, wax beans, onion rings, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper in a 2-quart bowl or container and pour boiling vinegar mixture over. Cover and chill. Drain; then serve.
