Cold Pea Salad
Ingredients
- 17 ounces can English peas
- 2 Tbsp chopped celery
- 1 Tbsp chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp chopped green pepper
- 1 teaspoon pimento, chopped
- 1 Tbsp sweet pickle relish
- 2 Tbsp sharp cheddar cheese, diced
- 1 egg, hard boiled and chopped
- 1 1/2 Tbsp mayonnaise
Instructions
Drain peas. Combine next 6 ingredients and mix well. Add peas, eggs and mayonnaise and mix gently. Chill throughly. You can increase the amount of celery, onion, green pepper, pimento, relish and mayonnaise to suit your taste.

@Anne C Devitt: English peas are another name for the common green peas you will find in a can or frozen bag (or fresh from the pod if you're lucky!). The name "English peas" simply distinguishes them from other varieties of peas such as split peas or other dried peas. Hope this helps! -- Editors of RecipeLion

what are English Peas- I have been cooking for over 50 some years and have never heard of them I always used plain very early canned peas. Is there that much of a difference?
