Crunchy Taco Salad
If you ever wonder how to incorporate more Doritos into your meals this is the perfect recipe. For more flavor and crunch, add Doritos to taco salad. This taco salad recipe is great for game day. Boys will eat anything with Doritos.
Ingredients
- 1 can kidney beans, drained
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 head lettuce, chopped or shredded
- 1 package grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1/4 cup scallions, chopped
- Thousand Island salad dressing
- 1 package Doritos
Instructions
- Brown humburger with taco seasioning. Drain.
- Toss lettuce, hamburger, beans, scallions, tomatoes and cheese in a large bowl.
- Serve with Doritos crumbled on top and Thousand Island dressing. To make it lower in fat, substitute ground turkey for the hamburger, use a fat-free Thousand Island dressing and crumble up baked tortilla chips instead of fried ones.
