    Frog Eyed Salad

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup Acini DiPepe or Acini Pepe 44 (a macaroni/pasta product)
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 2 tablespoons flour
    • 3 beaten egg yolks
    • 1 1/3 cup juice from canned fruit
    • 13 ounces can drained pineapple tidbits or more
    • 3 small cans drained mandarin oranges
    • 1 small can crushed pinapple
    • 13 ounces cool whip or more
    • small can drained grapefruit sections, optional
    • flaked coconut, optional
    • miniature marshmallows, optional
    • chopped nuts, optional

    Instructions

    Cook pasta according to package instructions. Combine sugar, flour, egg yolks and fruit juice. Cook sauce until thick. Cool sauce and stir in macaroni/pasta. Refrigerate overnight. The next day stir in pineapple tidbits, oranges, crushed pineapple and coolwhip.
