Marshmallow Fruit Salad

Fresh fruit salad recipes are a definite staple to summertime. A twist on an old favorite is the Marshmallow Fruit Salad. A little sweet and tangy, the contrasting flavors blend together for a fun treat.

Notes

Tastes best if made the night before.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bag miniature marshmallows
  • 2 cup broken pecans (optional)
  • 10 ounce jar maraschino cherries, well drained, cut
  • 1 pound can pineapple chunks, well drained
  • 7 ounce flaked coconut, optional
  • 10 ounce can mandarin orange sections, well drained
  • 2 cup sour cream
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Combine marshmallows, pecans, cherries, pineapples, coconut, mandarin oranges, sour cream, mayo and nutmeg together. Mix very well.
     
  2. Refrigerate covered at least 4 hours.
