Salsa Verde

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh tomatillos, husked
  • 1 onion
  • 1 jalapeno or 2 serrano chilis
  • 2 tb cilantro, minced
  • 2 md garlic cloves
  • 1/2 ts honey

Instructions

Simmer tomatillos in water to cover for 3 minutes. Drain, then coarsely chop with all remaining ingredients in a food processor or blender. Just before serving, thin with water to sauce-like consistency, if necessary. Yields 2 cups.
