Brie and Turkey Sandwich
These oven-toasted sandwiches make for a scrumptious lunch at home or even a dinner with a salad and/or fries. They are filled with Fig Butter, oozy Brie, peppery arugula and cooked turkey, and served hot from the oven for a step up from the typical deli-style turkey sandwich. Mmmm, yum!

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (80 g) Fig Butter
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 8 ounce (225 g) Brie cheese, sliced thinly
- 1 (16-oz [454-g]) package Sliced Roast Turkey Breast
- 1/2 cup (10 g) baby arugula
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Spread an even layer of Fig Butter on one side of each slice of bread.
-
Lay the sliced Brie on two of the slices. Place all four slices of bread, Brie side up, on a baking sheet in the oven and toast for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese begins to melt and the bread starts to get crisp.
-
Remove the bread from the oven and place the turkey on top of the melted cheese. Place the bread back in the oven for 2 to 3 minutes to finish toasting the bread and to warm the turkey.
-
Arrange the arugula over the turkey and place the remaining slices of bread on top to make two sandwiches. Slice in half and enjoy!
