How to Make the Perfect BLT

It's not hard to make the classic bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwich, but we're bringing you a foolproof method in our video for How to Make the Perfect BLT. With this crispy, weaved layer of bacon, you'll have a delectable sandwich every time! Start with gathering all the components: crisp iceberg or romaine lettuce, uncooked bacon strips, a couple slices of tomato and, of course, two slices of toasty bread. This recipe calls for the addition of avocado for an extra hearty and delicious sandwich. Season with salt and pepper to your liking and serve up this classic meal for lunch whenever the craving strikes you.

Ingredients
- 3 slice uncooked bacon
- 2 pieces lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
- 1 slice tomato
- 3 avocado slices
- 2 pieces of bread, toasted
- mayonnaise for spreading
- salt and pepper, to taste

Start by cutting your 3 strips of uncooked bacon in half.

Next, weave them together in a criss-cross pattern and place them on a baking pan covered in tin foil.

Bake at 375 degrees F, until crispy.

Assemble the sandwich. Start with a slice of toasted bread layered with mayo, salt and pepper, avocado, bacon, tomato, more salt and pepper, lettuce, and the final piece of toasted bread.

Cut in half or leave whole to serve.
