Sloppy Joe Dog

But really, they’re an ingenious meal for feeding a hungry crowd or a small family gathering — and they’re more delicious than you might remember. It is the best hot dog recipe around."
Ingredients
- Half a large white onion, diced
- Whole bell pepper, diced (use a sweeter red or yellow pepper)
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 1 lb. Lean ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. Neutral oil
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 12 oz. Chili sauce
- 1 tsp Brown sugar
- 1 S. Rosen’s Brioche Hot Dog Buns
- 1 Vienna Beef hot dog, prepared your favorite way

Prepare the Sloppy Joe first. With one Tbsp. of oil, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Once browned, add the white onion and bell pepper, then cover and cook for 5-6 minutes. Remove cover and add diced garlic, stir until fragrant, then add Worcestershire sauce and stir again. At this point add the chili sauce and brown sugar. Lower to medium-low heat and cook covered for 5 minutes until the mixture darkens. Add salt if needed, then set aside.

To assemble: Place cooked hot dog in bun, top with sloppy joe mix, then add the pickle spear and shredded cheddar cheese.
