Herbed Turkey Gravy

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium clove garlic, minced
- 2 cups turkey or chicken broth, divided
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup evaporated skim milk
- 1 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet
- 1 teaspoon freshly minced rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon turkey drippings
Instructions
- In a medium-sized pan set over medium heat, cook onion and garlic in 3 tablespoons of the broth 4 minutes.
- Add the flour and stir 1 minute.
- Add a little of the broth, bringing to a boil to smooth out the flour.
- Add remaining broth, apple juice, lemon juice, evaporated milk, Kitchen Bouquet, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer 7-10 minutes, until thickened. Stir often.
- Whisk in the turkey drippings if using and keep warm.
