All in One Shepherd's Pie
Make the traditional Shepherd's Pie recipe all in one dish. Meaty and topped with mashed potatoes, there's no denying it's tasty flavor. Add in your favorite vegetables to make it your own and enjoy this easy recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 pound stew meat
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 teaspoon cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper, coarsely ground
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 tablespoon brown gravy mix
- 2 pound cooked mashed potatoes
- 1 tablespoon chopped chives
- 4 ounce Mozzarella cheese, grated
Instructions

In Dutch oven, brown meat over medium high heat. Add garlic and saute 30 seconds (if vegetables to be used cook quickly, add onion with garlic and saute until tender).

Add broth and spices to meat and simmer covered for 30 min. Chop and add veggies, simmer until tender.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Mix 1/2 cup water and gravy mix in bowl. Add to mixture and simmer 5 minutes. Mix chives and cooked mashed potatoes. Place on top of mixture in Dutch oven.
- Sprinkle with cheese and bake until golden brown.
