Sounds pretty good except for one minor detail. A shepherd is one who takes care of sheep, not cattle! This should be correctly called a cottage pie, not a shepherd's pie. Only in America. LOL

Why oh why do you print a recipe that's called SHEPHERDS pie using ground beef Shepherds look after sheep The recipe you have above is for an English dish called Cottage pie If you take out the ground beef substitute with ground LAMB you then have the popular English dish called Shepherds pie Now we have found a reliable source of good organic lamb we have this at least once or twice a month You have not put the amount of beef stock in your recipe we use cup of stock lamb cup of red wine You can of course use cups of stcok if you don't drink but make sure if your going to use red wine that it is a 'drinkable' wine not that terrible concoction called 'Cooking wine' If you would not drink it then don't cook with it Also we have found that if you put theRead More cheese topping on in the last mins of a min bake the top is a lot crispier the filling does not ooze out
