"You might have seen chili oil in your favorite Asian restaurant or takeaway. It's an oil infused with chili pepper and other ingredients, and it's used as a topping to flavor rice or noodle bowls. Besides, it can be used as a dumpling or sashimi dip. It's a hot, flavorful condiment that you will want to own in your pantry if you love homemade Asian foods. I use it to top my ramen noodle soup or drizzle some over my fried rice. It's also easy to infuse your own chili oil and this Japanese chili oil, also known as rayu or layu, is no exception! "
