Bramborova Polevka Zasmazena

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 pound potatoes, peeled, cubed
  • 1/2 c onion, chopped
  • 3 ounces root vegetables, chopped
  • 1/3 c shortening
  • 1/3 c flour
  • 6 c water
  • 3 ounces mushrooms, fresh
  • Salt
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 pn marjoram
  • parsley, chopped

Instructions

(Creamed Potato Soup). Yield: 4 servings. Fry root vegetables in the shortening. Sprinkle with flour and fry until golden brown. Cover with cold water, stir well. Add mushrooms and potatoes, boil for about 20 minutes. Finally, add garlic, salt, marjoram and reheat. Flavor with chopped parsley as needed.
