Scotch Broth
Ingredients
- 1 lamb bone
- 1 beef bone
- 5 cups water
- 4 tsps salt
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1 stalk celery, sliced
- 1/2 cup barley
- 1/2 cup yellow split peas
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Combine bones, water and salt and simmer for one hour. Add onion, carrots, celery, barley, split peas, parsley, black pepper and water and simmer for one more hour.
