Serbian Goulash

Ingredients

  • 2 onions
  • olive oil
  • 1 1/2 kilos diced lamb
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 heaped tablespoons tomato paste
  • water
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh paprika
  • 1 large red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 kilos chopped potatoes

Instructions

Serves 4-6. Saute onions in olive oil until golden brown. Add lamb. Add 2 bay leaves and 4 heaped tablespoons of tomato paste Add enough water to cover the meat. Allow to simmer for approximately 20 minutes. Stir in fresh paprika and a chopped red bell pepper. Add chopped potatoes and let this simmer for approximately another 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
