Grandma's V8 Beef Stew
My grandma used to make one of the meanest and meatiest bowls of beef stew. Ingredients
- 1 to 2 pounds meat browned in 1 TBSP oil and drained
- 1 large can of V-8 juice
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic chopped
- 4 beef boullion cubes
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried mustard
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 cumin or more
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 large can diced tomatoes (do not drain)
- 1 can (8-ounces) tomato sauce
- 2 med potatoes, sliced
- 3 large carrots sliced thinly
- 1 cup frozen corn
- add any other vegetable you like
Instructions

Brown beef and remove any drippings.

Add all ingredients to large pot and simmer until vegetables are tender. About 3 hours.
