Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 2 cups onion, chopped
- 2 cups celery, chopped
- 1/4 cup parsley sprigs
- 2 cups mushrooms, chopped
- 12 cups bread cubes, slightly dry
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon marjoram (optional)
- 3 1/2 cups chicken broth or turkey broth
Instructions

Melt butter in a skillet and saute onion, celery, parsley and mushrooms.

Pour onion mixture over bread cubes in a very large mixing bowl. Add all seasonings and toss well.

Pour in the broth and mix well.

I did everything step by step according to the recipe. Three and a half cups of chicken broth was way to much. We had dressing soup. It wasn't very pleasing to the eye either. It tasted good but way to wet.

Crazy Mama........12 cups is nothing around my house....all that extra stuffing goes on hot turkey sandwiches and turkey pot pies etc......stuffing ...you can never have enough of it! PS.although I have never made this stuffing recipe mine is very similar................

Something is wrong somewhere, 12 cups of bread cubes feeds 6 people? They must be VERY HUNGRY people!
