Green Beans with Fresh Dill and Scallions

Ingredients

  • 3 quart water
  • 1 pound fresh string beans, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tablespoon margarine
  • 5 green onions, trimmed and thickly sliced
  • 3 tablespoon dill, finely chopped
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Instructions

In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the beans and cook over medium heat, covered 7 minutes and drain. In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt margarine and saute' the green onions for 3-5 minutes or until wilted. Add the beans. Toss with margarine and green onions. Cook 5-7 minutes or until tender. Add the dill, salt, and pepper and toss to completely coat the beans. Serve.
