Ingredients
- 1/4 pound assorted wild mushrooms, sliced
- 2 handfuls fresh green beans, broken in half and steamed or microwaved
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary or tarragon, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or 1/2 teaspoon chile powder
- 2 ounces porter or brown ale -- Guiness is great, or Boulder Porter
Instructions
- Melt the butter and olive oil together in a skillet over med-high heat until very hot - almost smoking.
- Add the mushrooms and simmer quickly until cooked, about 2 minutes.
- Add the red pepper flakes and rosemary or tarragon.
- Add the green beans and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 or so minutes or until the green beans are done cooking.
- Add the beer, and boil like mad until it disappears. Thats it!
