Sauteed Spinach
Sauteed Spinach is a great little side to add completeness to any meal. This sauteed spinach recipe is simple and easy to make. The spinach comes out soft and delicious; your family will never skip spinach again!
Ingredients
- olive oil or butter, to grease
- 1 shallot, finely minced
- 1 clove garlic
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 1 or 2 wedges lemon
- white wine, to taste
- fresh spinach, washed and dried
Instructions
- In large pan, heat either olive oil or butter.
- Saute finely minced shallot and garlic in large pan, taking care not to burn (use about 1 clove of garlic for 2 servings spinach).
- Add salt and pepper, lemon juice, and white wine.
- Stir this well, then place double handfuls of spinach into pan, tossing well with the sauteed lemon juice mixture.
- Leave on only long enough to wilt slightly.
- Serve immediately.
