Scalloped Corn
Ingredients
- 2 packages frozen corn, thawed
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- pinch of nutmeg
- 6 teaspoon sugar
- pinch of cayenne pepper or to taste
- pinch of white pepper
- 2 Tbsp soft butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
Instructions
Serves 6. Combine corn, cream, milk and seasonings in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 5-7 minutes uncovered. Blend the butter and flour together. Gradually drop small pieces of the butter/flour mixture into the corn mixture mixing well and cook 2 minutes to thicken. Place in a casserole dish and bake 325 for about 10 minutes.
